Rosemarie Adcock Gallery
One of the ways Arts for Relief and Missions
(ARM), seeks to support the use of the arts in Christian missions
work around the world is through the production and sale of artistic
works. To this end, Rosemarie Adcock, the founder and president of
ARM, has devoted much of her work and themes of exhibitions. Please
take some time to explore our online gallery, and then contact us
at sales@arminc.org if you are
interested in purchasing any of the available pieces.

Synopsis: |
The Garden Series
is a collection of paintings that visit the centuries-old
tradition of Biblical art in a contemporary and often
whimsical manner. These paintings, some of which are in
monumental format, are often Old Testament narratives
that point to the Messiah of the New Testament. Other
Biblical depictions can also be seen, in historic images
with symbolic representations that depict the biblical
text, or in symbolic allegories, such as can be seen in
"The Wedding Vow".
Currently on Exhibit at the National
Cathedral of the Communion of Convergence Churches/ Christ the Redeemer
Church in Ponte Vedra Florida. Call (904) 285-8009 for information |

Synopsis: |
The Russian Exhibit began in 1988 with the production
of the initial 28 paintings of Russian emigrés used to
promote sponsorship of Russian refugee families before
the overturn of communism. The touring exhibit later included
depictions of the fall of the Berlin Wall in Germany in
1989, the overthrow of the Romanian dictator Çeauçescu,
and the Czech transition to democracy at the appointment
of Vaclav Havel in January of 1990. As the exhibit toured,
$1.25 million dollars of humanitarian relief was raised,
and Arts for Relief and Missions was born. Paintings of
Russians rebuilding their country were added to the tour,
and the exhibit eventually contained over 120 paintings
with accompanying texts that toured Western Europe for
a period of 7 years. |

Synopsis: |
The Chicago paintings
dealt in theme with Reconciliation, remarkably the same
issues faced by the Eastern and Western Europeans after
the reunification of nations such as Germany. The series
reflected familiar issues in our cities, but the contrast
of these paintings with the Russian series was evident
even in all the lively color of the scenery. |
